Description	After a long time of clear-cutting management, the Czech Republic comes back to close-to nature (i. e. ecologically justified) forest management which dates back to the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The following examples of a longterm solution of three basic management situationa can be found at 41 forest demonstrative plots: 1) predomiant conversion of site unsuitable spruce and pine pure stands into mixed stands with adequate spatial and age structure (2) silvuculture of beech, oak or mixed stands appropriate to site conditions and (3) forest stands newly established after air pollution disaster. The network of plots of European, national and regional importance is systematically up to serve for education and studies. (en) Nach einer langen Etappe der kahlschlagartigen Bewirtschaftung kehrt die Tschechische Republik zur naturnahen (ökogerechten) Bewirtschaftung, deren Wurzel um die 19. und 20. Jahrhundertwende liegen. Folgende Beispiele der langzeitigen Lösung von drei grundlegenden forstlichen Situationen sind an 41 Demonstrationsobjekten zu finden: (1) überwiegende Umwandlung der standortsfremden Fichten- und Kiefernmonokulturen in Mischbestände mit angemässener Raum- und Altersstruktur, (2) Behandlung der standortsangepassten Buchen-, Eichen- oder Mischbestände, (3) nach der Zerstörung durch Immissionen neu gestaltete Bestände. Die Objekte am europäischen, nationalen oder regionalen Niveau sind systematisch verfolgt für Zwecke der Wissenschaft und Ausbildung.
