Description	Prevention of undesirable weed germination in the initial phase of association has not been satisfyingly solved with the use of current founding technology for annual borders seeded in situ. That's why the aim of this study was to establish and verify new founding technologies which can mostly prevent germinating weeds until the continuous cover is created. An experiment was carried out on the grounds of Faculty of Horticulture, MENDELU in Lednice in spring 2013 and was evaluated in the same vegetation period from June to August. Four technologies of founding were veriified. During the vegetation period abundance of specimen and dominance of cover both of weeds and annuals was evaluated. None of the founding technology appeared optimal in the fight against annual weeds. Obtained data can serve as initial entries for further experiments.
