Description	The experiment was focused on evaluation of influence of compost aplication to the soil for a water retention. At years 2009 and 2010 was at two experimental sites with different soil conditions applied compost at doses 50 and 100 t ha-1. With humidity sensors for each option were continuously monitored changes of humidity. The results showed that application of compost in these doses positively affect water retention in the soil. Results allowed to assess changes of moisture over time and differences between the observed variations.
