Description	We have a pleasure of presenting you this Forest Biomass Glossary. The explained terms are divided into categories. In each of these fields, the terms are presented in the alphabetical order. Where synonyms were identified, an explanation is given of the preferred term and the term which is in the authors' opinion obsolete and inadequate refers to the priority term. The explanatory dictionary-glossary is a partial outcome of the work of many prominent scientists from over the world associated under the project COST Action FP0902. The contents (both current and future) of this dictionary-glossary are contributed to by more than a hundred experts from 28 countries (more details see www.forestenergy.org ). The aim of their efforts is to harmonize the terminology used in the field of forest biomass and to unify the used units, which differ in various corners of the world, thus causing misinterpretation or misunderstanding in this intensively developing discipline.
