| - Produkční schopnost lesů v České republice je v současné době poměrně vysoká, což je důsledkem řady faktorů, především růstem výměry lesů a zvyšováním porostních zásob. Naopak spotřeba dřeva v ČR je ve srovnání se zeměmi Evropské unie a ostatním světem velmi nízká, ačkoli český dřevařský průmysl je schopen produkovat konkurenceschopné výrobky ve všech svých oborech. Zvýšení úrovně produkce, spotřeby, exportu dřevařských výrobků a rozvoje dřevařských podniků je možné dosáhnout jen vhodnými nástroji managementu. Těmito nástroji jsou zejména kvalitní logistické řízení jako proces plánování, realizace a řízení efektivního pohybu suroviny, polotovarů, zboží a služeb a souvisejících informací z místa vzniku do místa spotřeby (uplatnění) a marketing jako soubor aktivit, realizovaných ve vztahu k zákazníkovi a spotřebiteli vyráběné produkce. On the other hand, however, timber consumption in the Czech Republic is very low as compared with countries of the European Union and with the rest of the world although the Czech timber industry and all its branches can supply competitive products.
