| - Oblast primárního zpracování dříví zažívá velmi těžké období v České republice, ale i ve světě. Souvislosti můžeme hledat jednak v přetlaku nabídky surového dříví na trhu. To je v České republice způsobeno větrnými kalamitami typu Kyrill (2007) a Emma (2008). Přidává se k tomu i velká kůrovcová kalamita v Kanadě. Poptávka po dříví má snižující se trend díky hypoteční krizi v USA, která přerůstá do finanční a ekonomické krize. Důsledky této situace jsou pociťovány i v Evropě. Celá řadem firem exportujících řezivo dnes stojí na pokraji krachu v důsledku snižující se poptávky po řezivu a snižující se ceně. Vzhledem k provázanosti trhu s řezivem s trhem bydlení a celkovu ekonomickou situací, lze v USA očekávat další pokles cen řeziva. To se promítne i do situace v České republice, kdy lze očekávat další pokles cen smrkového dříví a řeziva. Z dosavadního sledování vyplývá, že negativnímu vývoji v oblasti cen dříví a řeziva odolávají dřeviny jako např. modřín, buk a dub. Na některé příčiny současné krize v (cs)

Demand for timber currently shows a decreasing trend also due to a mortgage crisis in the United States, which develops into a financial and economic crisis. Consequences of the situation are felt in Europe, too. Many lumber exporters are on the verge of bankruptcy due to the decreasing demand for sawn timber and falling prices. With respect to the cohesion of lumber market with the housing market and with the general economic situation, a continuing drop of sawn timber prices can be expected in the United States. This will finally reflect also into the situation in the Czech Republic where a further decrease of prices can be expected in spruce wo
