The analyzed areas are located in pollution damage zones A and B in Forest Altitudinal Vegetation Zones (FAVZ) 7 and 8. Parameters and traits studied are: total height of the above-ground part, terminal increment, losses, vitality and damage incurred by biotic and abiotic factors. The conclusions of the conducted survey are that Norway spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) can successfully grow up also in large-scale clear-felled areas but the negative game and wind impacts must be minimized and eliminated respectively (for example by constructing wind barriers). Norway spruce can also become a preparatory stand for the plantation of beech, fir and sycamore maple.

- Práce porovnává růst stejně starých výsadeb (stáří 4, 9 a 12 let) smrku ztepilého na velkoplošných holinách (více než 3 ha) po změně emisní zátěže. Analyzované plochy se nacházejí v pásmech ohrožení A, B v 7. a 8. lesním vegetačním stupni. Sledovány jsou parametry a znaky -- celková výška nadzemní části, přírůst terminálu, ztráty, vitalita, poškození biotickými a abiotickými činiteli. Z realizovaných šetření vyplývá, že smrk ztepilý může v současných podmínkách zdárně odrůstat i na velkoplošných holinách, je však třeba minimalizovat negativní vliv zvěře a eliminovat negativní působení větru (např. stavbou větrných zábran). Smrk ztepilý může být na velkoplošných holinách i přípravnou dřevinou pro výsadby buku, jedle, klenu. (cs)
