  • V rámci trvale udržitelného hospodaření, podporovaného certifikačními systémy PEFC a FSC je třeba přistupovat k těžbě a soustřeďování dříví šetrným způsobem. V Evropské Unii neexistuje jednotná metoda pro kvantifikaci poškození porostů po provedeném těžebním zásahu. Jednotlivé kontrolní metody v současné době používané se metodicky odlišují. Vhodně použitou vysoce mechanizovanou technologií lze docílit snížení škod na porostech. Na stojících stromech lze dosáhnout horní hranice míry poškození max 2% stávajících stromů na ploše. Horní hranice míry poškození půdy je možno odvodit z růstového prostoru kořenového systému smrku ztepilého (Picea excelsa) a dosahuje hloubky kolejí 10 cm. (cs)

The upper limit of damage to standing trees achievable is 2 % of trees at maximum. The upper limit of soil disturbance can be derived from the root space of Norway spruce (Picea abies /L./ Karst) root system and reaches the rut depth of 10 cm.
