  • Paper focuses on point irrigation design for experimental field growing vegetables on area 2432 m2 at Buchel locality, Northern part of Gobi desert in Mongolia. There was an underground water source (drill hole -- well capacity 2 l per sec. with water temperature 10 °C) and electricity available at the locality selected area of 1 ha and 0,2 % grade (no map was available). Design of surface and subsurface point irrigation for area of 128 m2 is shown together with a brief description of used hydro technical material for development of the original HYBOZAM program, which was programmed in Microsoft Excel editor, especially to design a line dimension of the point irrigation. Combination of two plastic pipes (mean values of 35,4 /40 mm and 28,2/32 mm and 2m lengths) has been used to provide a proper irrigation uniformity from spouts at irrigation line. HYBOZAM program provides a visual evaluation of water outflows uniformity at irrigation lines by its graphical output. An example of Z1 line for surface point irrigation (variety 2) is presented. Final result of design calculation presents the table with the most important outputs, including statistic evaluation of irrigation uniformity from spouts at irrigation line. Table for surface point irrigation, variety 2 is presented. From the table it is clear that a hydraulic requirements as well as irrigation uniformity from spouts at irrigation lines are fulfilled.
