Description	Velikost kořenového systému (VKS) byla hodnocena u 20 odrůd pšenice ozimé i u 20 odrůd ječmene jarního byla hodnocena ve velmi suchém roce 2007 na dvou lokalitách u pšenice a na jedné u ječmene (na druhé lokalitě byl pokus suchem poškozen). VKS byla hodnocena podle jeho elektrické kapacity. Hodnoty VKS odrůd byly porovnány s jejich výnosem v oficiálních odrůdových pokusech na 20 stanicích u pšenice a na 17 u ječmene. Větší VKS byl korelován s vyšším výnosem (r = 0.52* u pšenice a 0.82** u ječmene) i s obsahem škrobu v zrnu (r = 0.50* u pšenice a 0,64** u ječmene). (cs) Die Wurzelsystemgrösse (WSG) von je 20 Winterweizen- und Sommergerstensorten wurde in dem sehr trockenen Jahr 2007 an zwei tschechischen Standorten bei Weizen und an einem bei Gerste (an dem zweiten wurde es durch Trockenheit beschädigt). Die WSG wurde mit Hilfe von elektrischer Kapazität gemessen. Die Sortenwerte von den drei Messungen wurden mit offiziellen Ergebnissen des Sortenamtes an 20 Stationen für Weizen und 17 für Gerste verglichen. Eine grössere WSG korrelierte mit höherem Ertrag (bei Weizen r = 0,52, bei Gerste r = 0,82) und mit Stärkegehalt (r = 0,50 und 0,64*). Root system size (RSS) of each 20 winter wheat und spring barley varieties was in the very dry year 2007 evaluated on two Czech locations for wheat and on one for barley (the second one was damaged by the drought). The RSS was measured by its electrical capacity. The figures of varieties RSS from three measurements were compared with the official results of The Variety Office from 20 and 17 stations for wheat and barley, respectively. Greater RSS was correlated with higher yield (r = 0.52 and 0.82*) and starch content in grain (r = 0.50 and 0.64**) for wheat and barley, respectively. (en)
