| - The objective of the pot experiment was to discover the effect of magnesium applied in the form of magnesium nitrate together with soil supplementation of cadmium on the qualitative and quantitative parameters of poppy, variety Opal. During the vegetation (stage DC 41) Mg fertilisation had a positive effect on Mg and Ca concentrations in the plant. Mg application also had a synergic effect on N uptake and increased its content in the plant. In variants where Cd was supplemented its content in the plants considerably increased. With Mg fertilisation the yields of poppy seeds increased when compared with the unfertilised variants; both in the variant with a natural Cd content and variant where it was supplemented, ie by 3.6 and 19.9%, respectively. We compared the yields of variants not fertilised with magnesium and found that they increased statistically significantly (by 32.1%) in the variant with a higher content of Cd. - Vliv Mg hnojení při suplementaci Cd do půdy na výnosové a kvalitativní parametry máku setého (Papaver somniferum) Škarpa Petr, Lošák Tomáš, Richter Rostislav Abstrakt Cílem nádobového experimentu založeného v roce 2006 ve vegetační hale MZLU v Brně bylo zjistit vliv hořčíku, aplikovaného do půdy ve formě dusičnanu hořečnatého v dávce 0,78 g Mg na nádobu, spolu se suplementací Cd do půdy (1 ppm) na kvalitativní a kvantitativní parametry produkce máku setého, odrůdy Opál. Ve fázi dlouživého růstu (DC 41) byly Mg-hnojením pozitivně ovlivněny koncentrace Mg a Ca v rostlinné hmotě. Aplikace Mg rovněž působila synergicky na příjem N, čímž zvýšila jeho obsah v rostlině. Naopak množství P se vlivem hnojení snížilo. Na obsah K a S se zvýšené dávky hořčíku téměř neprojevily. Obsah Cd v rostlinách se výrazně zvýšil na variantách s jeho suplementací. Rozdíl v koncentracích těžkého kovu mezi kontrolní variantou s přirozeným a zvýšeným obsahem Cd byl téměř 10-ti násobný. Hnojení hořčíkem zvýšilo výnos se (cs)
