  • Cloud computing is a permanent phenomenon in information technology. This trend is fraught with the risk -- cloud as storage as a service. When you using cloud as a primary data storage, you need higher the data security. Data are the most sensitive element of the company. Data security uses rules of data categorization. This article describes the main means of data categorization. Nowadays, you can use two ways -- according to Winkler or according to Microsoft. These data categorizations are currently the most frequently, but categorizations don't use main parameters for data security in the analysis. The aim of this article is describe through security parameters -- data type and data structure. The proposed method of data categorization shows the main procedures for data processing. We specify this data categorization through UML -- a sequence diagram. This sequence shows communication between the data owner and the data categorization. Results of research are processed and tested on the Mendel university in Brno
