Description	The main goal of the chapter is to shed some light on possible impact of the global economic crisis revealed as the aggregate economic activity downturn upon the measures of preparedness of the candidate countries to join the Eurozone. In particular the impact of the global recession on the measures of business cycles similarity in the European countries is analysed. The results of the analysis should contribute to a discussion on reliability and significance of the OCA criteria in the process of Eurozone enlargement.
