| - This article deals with some findings of physical activity intervention in a sample of women from Olomouc region (Czech Republic). The sample consisted of 47 women (mean age 47,32?5,38 years, BMI 26,48?4,18 kg?m-2) divided into two groups according to aerobic exercise type (dance vs. step aerobic). Regarding the average values of selected somatic parameters, the women from group Dance and group Step aerobics differed minimally. The average somatotype is almost identical in both groups, the localisation of average somatotypes on border of categories: mezomorphs-endomorphs and mezomorphic endomorphs. There was only low and no significant increase of physical activity when comparing the habitual and intervention week. It is probably caused by change of physical activity patterns in intervention week, when the proportion of aerobic exercise was increased at the expense of walking and household work. - Příspěvek informuje o změnách somatického stavu u žen střední a staší dospělosti, které byly podrobeny vlivu cílené pohybové activity aerobního charakteru (dance a step aerobic). Toto období ontogeneze se jeví jako rizikové vzhledem k nastupujícím fyziologickým změnám menopauzy. Cílenou skupinou byly ženy (Maturus I. a II., n=47) z olomouckého regionu (věk: 47,32?5,38let, BMI 26,48?4,18 kg?m-2) s převahou sedavého způsobu životního stylu. Změny v průměrných hodnotách somatických parametrů po opakovaném měření byly následující: Ve skupině step aerobiku reagovaly ženy signifikantním snížením tělesné hmotnosti, WHR, endomorfní komponěnty a některých obvodových parametrů: relaxované I kontrahované paže, mezosternálního obvodu hrudníku a obvodu pasu. U skupiny dance aerobiku jsme zaznamenali statisticky významný rozdíl ve snížení množství podkožního tuku a došlo k navýšení svalové hmoty (Matiegka).
