| - Výzkumy pohybové aktivity a pohybové inaktivity intenzivně vyžívají výhod interdisciplinárních výzkumů, mezinárodních komparativních výzkumů, longitudinálních výzkumů, modelově orientovaných výzkumů, experimentálních výzkumů založených na intervenčních pohybových programech a metaanalytických studií. Navzdory těchto skutečností jsou výzkumné studie v oblasti pohybové aktivity kritizovány pro nedostatečnou komplexnost a opomíjení vnějších a sociálních vlivů. Za priority metodologických přístupů považujeme ty, které zdůrazňují: mezioborovost, dlouhodobost, holismus, komplexnost a systémovost, kombinace ověřování a falzifikace. Za aktuální a podstatné se považují výzkumy zaměřené na formulování nových koncepcí (teoretických modelů pohybové aktivity v životním stylu a výzkumy determinant, příčinných proměnných, korelátů, mediátorů a zprostředkujících proměnných pohybové aktivity. Při požívání monitorů je upřednostňováno týdenní monitorování. Je vhodné začínat a končit týdenní monitorování tentýž den a čas (cs)
- Research of physical activity and physical inactivity extensively uses the benefits of interdisciplinary researches, internationally comparative researches, longitudinal researches, model oriented research, experimental research based on interventionist programme of physical activity and meta-analysis studies.
