| - Aim: This research views the effect of comprehensive spa treatment on muscular fitness and on the ventilatory parameters of children with asthma bronchiale. The tested group consisted of 18 children who underwent four-week treatment in the Priessnitz spa in Jeseník. The comprehensive spa treatment included rehabilitation, physical activity, swimming, inhalation, going to the sauna and hiking. Methods: Muscular fitness was examined using the Kraus-Weber test at the beginning and at the end of the spa treatment. The basic spirometic examination was carried out at the beginning and at the end of the spa treatment. The initial and final results have been statistically compared. Results: Muscular fitness was improved at the end of the spa treatment. Its score was 36.4 points at the beginning of the spa treatment and 44.1 points at the end. The values of forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in 1 second and forced expiratory flow (FEF25, FEF50, FEF75) were statistically increased (p<0.01) at t
