Description
  • The take-off is considered to be the most significant phase of a ski jumping. The influence of external factors coupled with the high speed of this movement strongly determine on technique of the performance. This movement is highly individual and therefore significant differences exist between the top world competitors in basic parameters of individual ski jumping phases. We were interested in changes which occur in the event of short-term extreme load and how this factor influences intra-individual variability of take-off. In July 2000, a unique event took place on a jumping hill K90 m (plastic surface) in Frenstat pod Radhostem. The world champion ski jumper, Jaroslav Sakala, carried out 100 ski jumps within 24 hours. Apart from great psychological pressure, the sportsman had to climb 11,000 stairs, walk 17,000 m and overcome 3,000 m altitude difference between the first and the last jump. With help of videography (system of kinematic analysis of ski jumping, 50 Hz), we evaluated the take-off in

Porovnali jsme 8 úhlových a 3 rychlos (cs)
