  • Since September 2007 in the Czech republic came a curriculum reform into force, it brings besides other things, teaching at basic schools according to the Framework educational program for basic education. Health Education has become part of educational process at basic schools. The goal of research %22Realization of teaching education in primary schools in the Czech republic%22 was to determine, how is teaching of Health Education at basic schools in Czech republic put into practice, if it is a separate subject, what is its time allocation. If the teaching is provided by an specialist teacher and which teaching qualification is the most suitable. Next, which thematic areas is attention paid to or whether education in this area has its importance or it can has also societal impact. These days there are available results of IV. phase of research obtained by questionnaire survey among basic school's directors. The research sample includes 186 basic schools. Results show that more than 90 % of basic schools implement separate subject Health Education. More than 50 % of schools evince higher time allocation devoting to Health Education than it is mentioned in the Framework educational program. Teaching qualification is reached ca. 1/3 as the most suitable teaching qualification for Health Education is said Natural History and Physical Education. Balance of each thematic units within Health Education is said more than 50 % of Basic Schools. Then we can say that Health Education has in the system of education its reasonable place as the educational importance in this area is persuaded 95 % representatives of basic schools and they admit in 70 % that realization of Health Education at basic schools can have also the society-wide impact manifesting for example in reduction in morbidity or mortality from diseases of civilization.
