| - The paper introduces the outputs of the survey conducted within the students' grant project (at Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc) called Diagnostic competence of preschool teachers as an intervention means of compulsory school attendance postponement. It stems from an already conducted project of GA CR type by Šmelová, Petrová, Souralová et al. (2009-2012) which, besides other things, appeals for deeper cooperation of parties involved in the process of granting the compulsory school attendance postponement. With this paper we would like to outline the approaches to this question as viewed by kindergarten teachers in the Olomouc region in Czech Republic.
