Description
| - The academic education of teachers proceeds on two parallel levels; on one hand it involves the specialized training, which consists of the Science qualification courses, and on the other hand there is the vocational training, which is composed of the pedagogical-psychological disciplines, teaching methodology and teaching practice. The transformation of Science teachers' undergraduate education is necessary based on the experience from the implementation of the curricular reform at all types of schools in the Czech Republic, which was ratified in the first years of the 21st century. At the Faculty of Science, Palacký University in Olomouc the study plans are being innovated in all branches of secondary school teaching studies; the number of specialized as well as vocational courses is increasing. For example, for the undergraduate students of Chemistry Teaching, two new specialized-methodological courses have been opened and the laboratory training has been strengthened.
