  • Rozdział jest poświęcony poświęcony Republice Słowackiej. Prezentuje jej system polityczny, instytucje ustrojowe oraz system partyjny. Główna jego część dotyczy samorządu terytorialnego: gminy i krajów, ich organów i ich kompetencji, budżetów, stosunku wobec państwa, instytucji demokracji bezpośredniej itd. Rozdział przedstawia również zarys reform samorządowych ostatnich lat. W osobnych podrozdziałach omówiona jest problematyka miast a także współpracy międzygminnej.
  • The chapter is devoted to the Slovak Republic. It presents its political system, the main institutions together with the party system. Its main part regards self-government: a municipality and a region, their authorities and their competencies, budgets, relations with the state, institutions of direct democracy etc. It also drafts the reforms of self-government in last years. Separate sub-chapters are devoted to the questions of towns/cities as well as to the cooperation among municipalities. (en)
