Description	The paper gives an insight in the reception of Dutch and Flemish literature in Czech translations from the beginning in 1846 till 2010. The main point of interest is the proportion of so-called canon authors and popular writers and whether some translation politics of publishers and/or translators may be discovered. After the first period up to the end of World War I when the Flemish author Hendrik Conscience was the main translated writer, the paper focuses on the period between the World Wars and the choices made by the main translators Lída Faltová and Rudolf J. Vonka. The period after the so-called 'Velvet Revolution' in 1989 is divided in the period up to 1994 (wild privatization) and the period after that year when official Dutch and Flemish literary funds (NLPFV and VFL) get a steadily growing grip on foreign translations by their funding policy. In the last years former students of Olga Krijtová, who was the main translator between 1955 and 1989, are occupying the translation market, together with Magda de Bruin-Hüblová. The paper ends with the proposition to return to the between-war translation policy, a similar policy as is successfully followed in present-day Hungary. (en) De bijdrage geeft een inzicht in de receptie van Nederlandse en Vlaamse literatuur in Tsjechische vertaling van 1846 tot 2010. De nadruk ligt op de zogeheten canon-auteurs, op popualire schrijvers en op of een bepaalde vertaal/uitgavepolitiek kan wordne ontdekt. Na de eerste periode tot Wereldoorlog I toen Hendrik Conscience de belangrijkste vertaalde schrijver was, focust de bijdrage op het interbellum en de keuzen gemaakt door Lída Faltová en Rudolf J. Vonka. De periode na de zgn. Fluwelen Revolutie in 1989 is verdeeld in de periode tot 1994 (de wilde privatisering) en die daarna toen de officiële Nederlandse en Vlaamse literaire fondsen (NLPFV en VFL) steeds meer grip op buitenlandse vertalingen kregen via hun subsidiepolitiek. In de laatste jaren wordt de Tsjechische vertaalmarkt van het Nederlands vooral bepaald door ex-studenten van Olga Krijtová die de belangrijkste vertaalster was tussen 1955 en 1989, samen met Magda de Bruin-Hüblová. De bijdarge eindigt met een voorstel om terug te keren naar de politiek van het interbellum, een soortgelijke vertaalpolitiek die buitengewoon succesvol is gebleken in hedendaags Hongarije.
