Description	The study deals with the processes appearing in the very left periphery of Engliash clause. It summarises several varieties of the so called %22split CP%22 hypothesis presented in the late generative framework to argue that though they are superfluosly rich in projecting many features as specific heads above traditional CP, they are in the same time able to capture also the phenomena previously treated in a discourse pragmatics.
