Description	To assess the role of tau protein, betaamyloid and systain C in the diagnostics of Alzheimerdementia (AD) and other neurodegenerative diseases (ND) by comparing to the kontrol groups (CG). The levels of tau protein, beta-amyloid and cystein C were assesed in the set of 69 patients and in kontrol group of 69 sujects without the affection of the central nervous systém. Statistically significant increased tau protein levels and index tau/beta-amyloid levels were shown in the goup of AD patiens, compared to the group of ND patiens.
