Description
  • Heat shock proteins (hsp's) belong to most conserved proteins in evolution. They were identified as important pathogen-related antigens as well as autoantigens suitable for construction of novel vaccines. High evolutionary homology of hsp's gave rise the question about the safety of such vaccines. Experimental and clinical observations confirmed hsp proteins to be involved in regulation of some autoimmune disease such as autoimmune arthritis, type 1 diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, and other autoimmune reactions. It was shown in experimental animals that some hsp proteins (especially hsp60, hsp70, and hsp10) can either induce or prevent autoimmune reaction in relation to application circumstances.Article discusses involvement of hsp proteins in etiology of autoimmune diseases and presents promising experimental data about effects of immunization with hsp proteins in the prevention and therapy of autoimmune diseases.

  • Proteiny tepelného šoku (hsp) patří k evolučně nejvíce konzervovaným proteinům. Jsou rozlišovány jako významné antigeny v průběhu nejrůznějších infekcí a uplatňují se i jako autoantigeny. Proto byly opakovaně použity pro konstrukci vakcín. Vysoká evoluční homologie nabízí otázku o bezpečnosti takových vakcín. Experimentální a klinická pozorování potvrdila že hsp jsou zapojeny do regulace rozvoje některých autoimunitních onemocnění jako je revmatoidní artritida, inzulín-dependentní diabetes mellitus, ateroskleróza, roztroušená skleróza a další. Na experimentálních zvířatech bylo potvrzeno že některé hsp (hsp60, hsp70 a hsp10) mohou jak navodit tak potlačit autoimunitní reakci v závislosti na způsobu a formě podání.Článek se se zabývá zapojením hsp proteinů v etiologii autoimunitních onemocnění a předkládá slibná experimentální data popisující efekt imunizace hsp proteiny při prevenci a terapii autoimunitních nemocí.
