Description
  • This paper deals with the design, simulation and construction of a high efficient reversible voltage inverter for electric energy accumulation based systems. The inverter is characterized by its fast dynamic responses on requests of the energy flow direction changes. Whole inverter is built as a liquid cooled system. To take away the switching and conducting power losses, the dual heat sink has been used. All of the main power components were carefully selected on the basis of technical calculations and circuit simulations. The 3D CAD application was used for designing of the inner constructional arrangement and housing of the reversible voltage inverter. The sufficiency of the dual heat sink in standard and emergency conditions was tested by the 3D FEM thermal and CFX analysis, as well as the ripple current dimensioning of the capacitor battery was tested by the electronic circuit simulator. The main practical utilization possibilities of presented device are in the renewable energy plants or smart grid systems targeted on the electric energy accumulation.
