  • Kaolinite fractions < 2 &#956;m and < 40 &#956;m and two procedures for preparation of nanosized TiO2 particles at calcination temperature 750, 800, and 850°C were studied. Mean crystallite size L=7.3 - 9.7 nm and 22 wt. % TiO2 and anatase modification are estimated at a fine-grained kaolinite/TiO2 composites. The coarse-grained kaolinite and kaolinite/TiO2 composites have admixture of mica, L = 5.8 nm and TiO2 = 6 wt. %, crystalline anatase is only observed at calcination temperature 850°C.
