Description
  • The main purpose of the paper is to illustrate, by means of a simple practical example, the ability of acyclic oriented graph, terminal nodes of which are programmable components, to model simple dynamic system and to assess its performance via Monte-Carlo simulations. One of the main problems in reliability assessment of complex dynamic systems is to take into account time dependencies of the system structure resulting from changes of its physical parameters. Generally none of the traditional modeling techniques are suitable for the study of the systems, but in special cases when times of the structural changes are deterministically scheduled according to a considered time interval, we are able to solve the problem of reliability assessment. The time partition may be given for example, as a result of evolution of a process variable. Basic mathematics for the solving of the above problem using Monte Carlo simulation technique will be introduced within the paper as well.

  • Hlavním cílem příspěvku je ilustrovat na jednoduchém příkladu schopnost acyklických orientovaných grafů, jejichž uzly jsou programovatelné komponenty, modelovat jednoduchý dynamický systém a zhodnotit jeho výkon užitím simulační metody Monte Carlo. Jeden z hlavních problémů analýzy spolehlivosti komplexních systémů je vzít v úvahu časové závislosti struktury systému v závislosti na změnách jeho fyzikálních parametrů. Obecně lze říci že, žádná z tradičních technik modelování není vhodná pro studium těchto systémů. Nicméně, ve speciálních případech, ve kterých jsou časy strukturálních změn na daném časovém intervalu deterministické, jsme schopni řešit úlohu analýzy spolehlivosti. Časy strukturálních změn mohou být například dány jako výsledek evoluce procesní proměnné. V článku je taktéž zahrnuta matematika nutná pro řešení výše uvedené úlohy simulační technikou Monte Carlo.
