Description	Industry or regional clusters govern the industrial policy in most countries not only within the European Union and they are considered as an effective instrument for the growth of regional and national competitiveness. That is why their development is promoted and supported by many financial schemes at regional, national and even supranational level including EU Structural funds. This is also the case of the Czech Republic and its old industrial region Moravia Silesia which became in the last decade the leader in cluster development. The aim of this paper is to outline the clusters development in Moravia Silesia and to evaluate the ways of their financing which plays an important role in restructuring and transformation of the region.
