Description	This paper deals with a cross-section and time analysis of determinants influencing a share of ICT sector on GDP for 26 European Union economies in 2005 – 2008. A relative share of ICT personnel was investigated as a basic factor linked to the theory of a specific human capital of a production function. Further determinant was a share of an individual educational level in a society. Low, medium and high educational levels have been considered. Two initial hypotheses have been formulated related to the influence of these factors. The empirical study has monitored a graphical analysis as well as sophisticated estimations of three panel model options provided by the generalised least squares method. The results confirm the initial hypotheses as well as document minor changes in tendencies of the investigated quantities linked to the economic downturn in 2008.
