Description	We live and work in Web 2.0 environment. Last decade showed that internet based social networks are crucial to today's life and business and it has great impact on knowledge management as well. Knowledge sharing is critical to organizations that wish to use their knowledge as an asset to achieve competitive advantage. One of the basic problems of knowledge management is to bridge sharing and transfer of information and knowledge that it can contribute to business processes. Main demands are low costs of IT support, efficiency, security, cross-enterprise participation and inter-employee trust. In this paper are analyzed and discussed new trends and future applications of social networks such as twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and many others. Main objective is to present opportunities that would arise to boost up innovations not only in knowledge management, but also in other management and business domains.
