| - In the framework of the Regional Materials Science and Technology Centre (RMSTC) - Laboratory modeling of processes in the liquid and solid phases, thermo-physical and thermodynamic properties of steel are studying. Common cooperation and research potential of the Department of Metallurgy and foundry and the Department of Physical Chemistry and Theory of Technological Processes within RMSTC allows to measure the thermo-physical properties such as temperature phase transformations in a wide range of temperatures(20 to 2 000 °C). This paper deals with the study of industrially produced steel grades by the method of direct thermal analysis at Netzsch STA 449 F3 Jupiter experimental equipment. For relatively large samples of steel (about 20 g), the method of direct thermal analysis allows to obtain temperatures of current phase transformations in steels under the conditions of linear heating/cooling.
