| - This paper is focused on evaluation of structural parameters of Ni3Al based intermetallic alloy with zirconium. Composition of experimental alloys is very diverse, aluminium content is 22 and 24 at.%, and zirconium content is 1 or 2 at.%. The samples were prepared by vacuum induction casting followed by casting into graphite mould. These castings were subjected to directional solidification by Bridgman’s method with vertical arrangement. Rate of directional solidification was 20 and 50 mm/h. The basic high temperature creep characteristics were determined. The following test parameters were chosen for uninterrupted creep tests – testing temperature of 900°C and applied nominal load of 200 MPa. The alloy with composition Ni-22Al-2Zr in directed state with the solidification rate of 20 mm/h has the rate of secondary creep differing by an order, approximately 1 x 10-8 s-1. The sample has also higher time to rupture. The structure has very important influence on high temperature mechanical characteristics.
