  • The aim of the present work was to appraise a possibility of application of recrystallization annealing in the electron beam zone furnace in vacuum at high temperatures in order to get a single crystalline structure of wires of low-alloyed tungsten alloys made by conventional procedures of powder metallurgy. The recrystallization annealing was applied on specimens of the alloys W-5 wt.% Re, W-26 wt.% Re, W-0,1 wt.% Ir and pure tungsten wires, diameter 0,5 mm. Influences of the alloying element content, temperature, speed and number of the hot zone passes on structural characteristics of these alloys were studied. The principle of this method consists in several passes of the hot zone along a specimen in the form of wire by the constant speed (1 and 3 mm/min) in the vacuum about 10-3-10-4 Pa at high temperatures.
