  • The study is devoted to the investigation of fundamental properties achieved in ceramic (brittle) materials using indentation technique. Indentation technique is a reliable technique which makes possible to determine the set of mecahnical properties of ceramic materials. The evaluation was realized on two types of tool ceramics (Al2O3 and Si3N4). The attention is also given to the analysis of the residual stress evaluation around sharp indent using the special indentation technique.

Indentační technika je spolehlivá technika, která umožňuje určit sadu mechanických vlastností keramických materiálů. Hodnocení bylo provedeno na dvou typech řezných keramik (Al2O3 and Si3N4). Pozornost je také věnována analýze residuálního napětí okolo ostrého vtisku použitím speciální indentační techniky. (cs)
