  • Příspěvek je věnován výzkumu základních vlastností dosažených u křehkých keramických materiálů za použití indentační techniky. Hodnocení bylo realizováno na řezné keramice Al2O3. Byly určeny hodnoty tvrdosti a indentační lomová houževnatost v závislosti na aplikovaném indentačním zatížení. Pozornost je také věnována hodnocení odezvy keramických materiálů na opakované zatěžování neboli únavovému chování. Kromě měření životnosti opakovaným zatěžováním je prezentována analýza radiálně/mědiánových a bočních trhlin jako součást podpovrchových defektů. Jsou determinovány kinetické parametry bočních trhlin včetně míry vyštípené plochy. Také jsou hodnoceny charakteristiky indukovaného napěťového pole v keramických materiálech během realizovaného hodnocení (cs)
  • The work is devoted to the investigation of fundamental properties achieved in ceramic (brittle) materials using the indentation technique. The evaluation was realized on Al2O3 tool ceramics grade. The hardness values and the indentation fracture toughness in dependence on applied indentation loading were determined. The attention is also given up to the evaluation of ceramics response to the repeated loading and/or to fatigue behaviour. Besides the measuring of the durability by repeated loading the proposed analyse of radial/median and lateral cracks, in part running as sub-surface defects, are presented. The kinetic parameters of lateral cracks are determined including the extent of formed chipping area. The characteristics of induced stress field in ceramics are also investigated within the framework of realized investigation.
