Description	The paper gives account of the potential uses of transition curve approximation from numerical and physical modelling of transition phenomena accompanying the change in chemical composition of continuously cast steel during sequence casting. The objective was to assess the individual approximation approaches and obtain a mathematical/physical account of these transition curves, which is crucial for the modelling results to be introduced in the dynamic control, monitoring and marking of transition billets at CCM 2 at Třinecké železárny (TŽ), a.s. Cílem bylo nalézt individuální aproximační popis experimentálně získaných výsledků ve formě matematické interpretace přechodových křivek, což je klíčové pro implementaci získaných poznatků do systému dynamické kontroly, monitoringu a značení sochorů na ZPO2 v Třineckých železárnách, a. s. (cs)
