Description
  • The article deals with the research and analysis of the identification possibilities of equipment and assets of organizations engaged in mining and processing of mineral resources. The environment of underground mines is very specific and used equipment has to follow strict conditions, particularly with regard to intrinsic safety. Nowadays, there are UHF RFID devices in intrinsically safe version. All equipment that workers in underground mines use can be equipped with a safe RFID identifier. Due to this it is possible to manage the status of the items in mean of revisions of hazardous gas sensors, fire-extinguishers, self-rescue devices, filters in gas masks, first aid kits, etc. Our aim lies in reduction of the possibility of situations when a miner does not have the right equipment nor has the equipment that has not undergone proper safety check and may not be fully functional. Thanks to our intentions the worker could be surer that in a possible risk situation he would be properly prepared, equipped and can rely on his equipment.
