Description
  • The treatment of granite blocks for the crude stone production produces a high percentage of waste, especially a shape unsuitable pieces and spalls of stone. In some cases, up to half of mined materials deposited on the dump pile, which is a great burden to the environment for example large claim of land, changing the landscape relief, etc. It is also necessary to mention the economic burden on mining companies and ultimately the legal obligation to use mineral wealth efficiently. Therefore is necessary to use again dump pile materials. By using the waste becomes secondary raw material. Dump piles are not treated as waste material, but as deposits minerals. This paper summarizes the proposal of suitable domp pile mining in working districts Žulová in the Czech Republic. This is influenced by the physic-mechanical properties of materials deposit on the dump pile, which is made up of different lumpiness overburden materials, dirt bands and waste from crude stone production. Extracted material will be sorted and udes as crushed aggregate. The paper will describe how the various stages of mining, choice of mining and processing mechanization, utilization of aggregates on the basis of its properties and also the selection of space for deposit of unsalable fractions. These results can be also used on other granite quarries.
