Description	The decline of public transport usage is a typical development of last few decades in most countries in modern world. This can cause many traffic (congestions, public transport providers’ sales), environmental and other problems. Carpooling can be defined as the shared use of a car by the driver and one or more passengers, usually for commuting. It is a new transport system where the main goal is to maximize the usage of cars, a thing that could bring many other positives. Main benefit of this paper is the calculation of the performance of carpooling to 95 main employers in three NUTS3 Regions in the Czech Republic. For this purpose new special extension for the OpenJump software was developed and almost 124,000 scenarios were simulated. From these results performance of carpooling was compared with individual car transport and public transport from the distance and financial aspects.
