Description
| - Nowadays it is fairly common to see 3D scenery visualizations on a computer. However, in industry applications this technology has not been used in connection with SCADA systems. The major problem of 3D and SCADA is reliability, i.e. 100% certainty of information transfer in regards of the monitoring and control systems, which require that. Information transfer dropout in a monitoring and control system can lead to behavioral errors and other unwanted phenomena. Therefore it seems beneficial to explore this issue and examine new possibilities for SCADA systems. If the SCADA system presents huge amount of data about a certain technological process, it is nearly impossible for the operator to absorb all of the information. Main benefit of the 3D visualization is making the operator?s task to absorb and interpret the presented information much easier.
