| - The paper deals with a study which aims to better inform on the selected engineering-geological conditions for the needs of landscape planning. The geofactors to be studied are numerous (engineering-geological zones, workability of rocks, type of preQuarternary bedrock, floodlands, subsidence caused by undermining, slope movements and radon hazard), while the paper deals with two of them. The first one is undermining, which is evaluated on the basis of terrain subsidence caused by underground mining. It is a significant criterion for the utilization of former mining landscape that is as an interest area the subject of the study. The area is determined by a map sheet No. 15-43-10 in 1:10 000 scale, covering the city districts of Slezská Ostrava, Moravská Ostrava, Vítkovice and Radvanice. The second monitored geofactor are slope deformations. These are an important limiting factor for land use and they must not be ignored during landscape planning. - Předložená publikace se zabývá studií, která má za cíl zlepšení informovanosti o vybraných inženýrskogeologických poměrech pro potřeby územního plánování. Geofaktory, které budou studovány je celá řada (inženýrskogeologické rajóny, těžitelnost hornin, typ předkvartérního podkladu, inundační území, poklesy způsobené poddolováním, svahové pohyby a radonové rizikem), přičemž publikace se zabývá dvěma z nich. Prvním z nich je poddolování, které je hodnoceno na základě poklesů v terénu, vyvolaných hlubinou těžbou. Je to nezanedbatelné kritérium pro využívání bývalé hornické krajiny, která je předmětem studie jako modelové území. Území je vymezeno mapovým listem č. 15-43-10 v měřítku 1:10 000 v oblasti Slezské, Moravské Ostravy, Vítkovic a Radvanic. Druhým sledovaným geofaktorem v publikaci jsou svahové deformace, ty jsou důležitým limitujícím faktorem pro využívání území a není je možno při územním plánování opomíjet.
