  • Hlavním záměrem tohoto článku je popis dopravní simulace, založené na Multi-agentovém a geoinformačním systému (GIS). Náš přístup je vysvětlen na případové studii dopravní mikro-simulace, která je založena na reálných geografických datech. Hlavní myšlenkou je skloubení funkcionality GIS s multi-agentovým systémem a tím zlepšení vlastností celé dopravní simulace. GIS přináší tyto hlavní výhody: poskytuje data o reálném světě, algoritmy pro jejich zpracování a bohaté možnosti vizualizace (2D i 3D).  Zapojením GIS nástrojů do dopravní mikro-simulace lze dosáhnout mnohem lepších výsledků oproti tradičním přístupům.   • The main focus of this paper is an application of Geographic information systems (GIS) for traffic simulation based on Multi-agent system (MAS). Our approach is explained on the case study of a traffic micro-simulation based on real world data. The basic idea is to apply GIS functions and data about real world in order to refine the multi-agent traffic simulation. The accuracy of the data affects the simulation facticity. GIS helps us in three ways. It provides data about real world, data processing algorithms and finally visualization (2D or 3D). By incorporating GIS technics and tools into traffic micro-simulation, we can produce significantly better results then existing approaches.
