  • V roce 2006 - 2007 byly provedeny kvalitativní a kvantitativní analýzy odpadních vod z koksoven Šverma a Svoboda. Tyto odpadní vody přispívají svým znečištěním ke zvýšeným koncentracím celkového dusíku na odtoku z Ústřední čistírny odpadních vod v Ostravě-Přívoze. Analýzy odpadních vod z koksoven potvrdily přítomnost širokého spektra polycyklických, heterocyklických různě substituovaných organických sloučenin, zejména kyslíkatých a dusíkatých látek a také dalších forem dusíku, z nichž významný podíl tvoří thiokyanatany. Jednou z možností, jak eliminovat thiokyanatany, a tím snížit koncentraci dusíku na odtoku z čistírny, je snížit jejich podíl ještě před přítokem na čistírnu. V článku je diskutována možnost využití fyzikálně-chemické metody. (cs)

Because of their pollutions Theky contribute to the higher concentration of total nitrogen in wastewater treatment plant effluents. The analysis of coke-plant wastewaters has confirmed a presence of many organic compounds including phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their nitrogenous derivates, heterocyclic compounds containing atoms of sulphur, oxygen and nitrogen. They are a source of other nitrogen compounds like ammonia, cyanides etc. A significant part of nitrogenous compounds are thiocyanates.
