Description
| - The future mining operations are going to be very expensive due to deeper level operations and high level mechanization. Further, the productivity of costly equipment needs to maintain by reducing down time with advanced monitoring technology. Therefore, the safety and productivity of men and machinery will play a dominant role in cost effective mining operations. Thus the navigation of various mining equipment is imperative for effective planning.The GPS based system will be effectively utilized for navigating of various mining equipment in real time. Besides, the Real Time GPS (RT GPS) based system can be used in safety and risk operations too. Therefore the RT GPS is very important for economic mining operations. Thus, this paper discusses the application of GPS system for effective mining. Further concentrates on case studies of Czech mines, where the RT GPS systems were successfully utilized.
