  • The results of the investigation on flotation of the slime coal from The Mine Frantisek (Ostrava-Karviná Region in Czech Republic( are presented. The aim of this work is comparison of several collectors used in the flotation: Montanol, Flotakol NX, Ekofol 440, PE2 and AF2. The selectivity of separation process shown that Flotakol NX and Montanol are better then other collectors. For both collectors optimal doses were determined. Optimisation of the technological scheme of the flotation was done. The results of the investigation shown that the best selectivity of separation and the most stabile froth and the higher yield was obtained using Montanol. Also the consumption of this collector is less than Flotakol NX but the price of Flotakol NX is lower.
