Description	Because of limitations of exposure time, estimation of failure rate from failure data always includes an uncertainty. We analyze uncertainties of real failure data of selected transformers in chosen power distribution networks located in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. For this reason, lower and upper bounds of failure rates are estimated by the Poison model. Subsequently, significance of observed fluctuations of failure rates are analyzed statistically by a chi-square goodness of fit test.
