Description	Magnetic fields constitute an inseparable part of the environment. In the submitted project we would like familiarize the readers with some of the outcomes of the Influence of Electric Railways on Environment (project Czech Science Foundation No 103/05/0660). The article presents the results of the investigation of magnetic fields in the vicinity of tram lines with traction system 600 V DC, rail lines with traction system 3 kV DC and rail lines with traction system 25 kV AC. The results were obtained by way of modelling with the use of method of final elements with the support of the ANSYS programme, with the direct use of Biot-Savart's law, Ampere's law of total current, and vector magnetic potential with the support of MS Excel. The model results were compared to the values measured in the operation conditions in the Czech railways and the city transport in Ostrava. (en) V článku jsou publikovány výsledky vyšetřování magnetických polí v okolí tramvajových tratí elektrizovaných stejnosměrnou soustavou 600V, tratí elektrizovaných stejnosměrnou trakční proudovou soustavou 3 kV a tratí elektrizovaných střídavou trakční proudovou soustavou 25 kV; 50Hz. Výsledky byly získány modelováním metodou konečných prvků s podporou programu ANSYS a porovnány s naměřenými hodnotami.
