Description	Using the off-switched parts in indirect frequency converters with current type DC-link is useful for the fast response of the converter as a component of regulating circuit of AC-drives. This paper occupies with the new trend in construction of converters, types alluded in headline, with the tendency to make lower (eliminate), the dynamic part of switching losses, that is originated at the power semiconductors. In the paper there is shown the way of rising the switching losses of the current inverters.The circuit topology and suitable control strategy of unclamped converter together with simulation results are also included The possibility of limiting the current peaks is discussed in the end of this paper as well.
