Description	Test stand for investigation of active control of sliding bearings on behaviour of rotor was designed and manufactured in 2007. Some positive results of active control on rotor stability were demonstrated at the end of grant project in 2009. In 2013 the test stand was reconstructed with the aim to achieve highest possible stiffness of structure for fastening of piezoactuators, securing bearing excitation, to the stand frame. Test stand reconstruction and some changes in set up of its control brought significant extension of region of stable rotor operation. Modified test stand design will be presented together with some results of experiments utilising external excitation of bearing bushings.
